These foods are great sources of vitamins, minerals and fiber that protect us from chronic diseases. Its best to buy locally-grown produce, because when you shop at a regular grocery store, you don't know how long the "fresh produce" has been sitting there. Food begins to change a soon as it is harvested from the Earth, so the vitamins and other sources begin to deteriorate quickly. Grow your own produce if you can or shop at your local farmer's market - your body will thank you!
